MONO Cover Plans Update

Following from looking at the stablemate covers for inspiration, I created three more plans for the images I would like to create for the cover.

I wanted this one to be a more casual whole body shot in which the model chews on the temple of the glasses, set against a bright white colourama lit by a wide beauty dish and umbrella, along with an octolight creating a soft and even light across the entire model with minimal shadows. This is to ensure that everything about the model can be seen, as harsh shadows will distract from the sunglasses.

Here, the plan is to have the sunglasses in the pocket or collar of the model, who is leaned against a wall or standing near the colourama with crossed feet. This could work as just a bust shot, or as a whole body shot. The light will be placed on either side, depending on which side of the shirt the pocket is on.

This is probably the idea I like the most. As the focus is on the glasses, and with the theme being ‘shady deals’, I thought I’d play on this theme and have the model looking shady. The model would be peeping over a table, with the glasses off centre slightly, but positioned in a way that the left lens overlaps the right eye (as poorly drawn here). I plan on using a softbox to light the model’s forehead and eyes, while using either a strip light or snoot to illuminate the part of the glasses not near the face.

This diagrams relate to these previous two cover plans.
